Il workshop si è posto come obiettivo quello di sviluppare creatività e libertà di movimento sul palcoscenico indagando le diverse gestualità basandosi sui 4 elementi: acqua, terra, fuoco, e aria.
La ricerca è stata guidata da Emmanuel Edoror e Diletta Bruno attraverso esercizi specifici ispirati al teatro di improvvisazione e al teatro fisico.
Emmanuel Edoror: nato in Nigeria, si trasferisce in Germania nel 2004, dove entra per la prima volta a contatto col teatro grazie alla realtà di Cactus Junges Theater,
un’organizzazione che offre diverse esperienze di teatro – da workshop a produzioni vere e proprie – a giovani dai 14 anni in su. Nel 2016 viene ammesso presso l’Università delle Arti Folkwang (Folkwang Universitaet der Kuenste), dove si laurea nel 2020. Lavora come performer e coreografo in diverse produzioni.
Diletta Bruno: nata in Italia, studia danza classica, contemporanea e jazz, ha diverse esperienze come performer in vari musical amatoriali. Dopo la laurea presso l’Università di Milano e un master in Music, Theatre, and Performance Studies in Olanda, si trasferisce in Germania dove intraprende una collaborazione con Cactus Junges Theater come assistente alla regia e prende parte a diversi workshop organizzati dall’ente tedesco. Attualmente scrive per il teatro e tiene workshop con studenti delle scuole superiori.
The workshop “Element” that took place at our high school with the students of the theatre group was concluded with great enthusiasm from the participants.
The workshop aimed at developing movement creativity and freedom on stage by exploring the different qualities of gestures related to the four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. Emmanuel Edoror and Diletta Bruno guided the research, employing specific theatre exercises from physical theatre and improvisation theatre.
Emmanuel Edoror, originally from Nigeria, relocated to Germany in 2004, where he discovered theatre through the organization Cactus Junges Theater. This organization provides various theatre experiences, ranging from workshops to theatre productions, for youths aged 14 and older. In 2016, Edoror began studying at the Folkwang University of Art, graduating in 2020. Currently, he works as a performer and choreographer in various productions.
Diletta Bruno, born in Italy, has a background in ballet, contemporary, and jazz dance. She has participated in different non-professional Broadway musical experiences as a performer. After graduating from the Università degli Studi di Milano and earning a master’s degree in Music, Theatre, and Performance Studies in the Netherlands, she moved to Germany. There, she started collaborating with Cactus Junges Theater as an assistant director, participating in and leading various workshops organized by the German theatre association. Currently, she writes for theatre and conducts workshops with high school students.
